Why Consider the Santa Monica Brass Range Hood for Your Kitchen?

The Santa Monica Brass Range Hood starts with flowing curved profile with balanced proportions, then gives you control over the dimensions, finish, accents and ventilation for your space. Before choosing a finish, request free sample tiles and see the options beside your cabinets, counters and hardware. From there, bloom range hoods’ master designer provides one-on-one guidance, with secure online ordering with a U.S.-based company and free shipping across the 48 continental U.S. states.

The Santa Monica Brass Range Hood: Model-Specific Style with Made-to-Order Details

The Santa Monica Brass Range Hood pairs flowing curved profile with balanced proportions with the practical choices a custom kitchen calls for. Start with 16-gauge brass construction, set the dimensions around the range and cabinetry, then choose the finish, accents and ventilation package for the way you cook.

  • Model-Specific Shape: The Santa Monica gets a look separate from Bloom’s other hood profiles through flowing curved profile with balanced proportions.
  • Made-to-Order Proportions: Choose width, depth and height around the range, cabinetry and ceiling conditions in your kitchen.
  • Material You Can Build Around: 16-gauge brass gives the hood a substantial body with warm metallic depth.
  • Ventilation Choices: Select an exhaust setup based on your range, room layout and cooking habits.
  • Lifetime Structural Guarantee: Bloom backs the hood structure with lifetime coverage.

Brass Range Hood Sizing and Ventilation, Built Around Your Kitchen, For a Better-Fit Kitchen

The right dimensions help a range hood feel like part of the kitchen instead of an add-on. The Santa Monica can be configured for width, depth, height and mounting style, with ventilation selected around the range. Clean TIG welds bring the structure together with a polished finished look.

  • Clean Welded Structure: TIG welding brings strength to the body without bulky seams.
  • Room-Specific Sizing: Build the hood around the actual space above your range.
  • Installation Flexibility: Select the appropriate mounting configuration for the design.
  • Cooking-Focused Airflow: Choose ventilation with everyday cooking needs in mind.
  • Easy-Care Surface Options: Protective finish choices help keep maintenance straightforward.

Finish Your Brass Range Hood Your Way, For Everyday Cooking

The same Santa Monica can read completely differently depending on the finish. A softer surface treatment keeps the profile restrained, while deeper tones or stronger texture bring more attention to the shape. Use the accent selections to tie the hood back to cabinetry, lighting and fixtures.

There is no single “correct” combination for the Santa Monica. The goal is enough personality for the room without making every nearby finish compete for attention.

How the Santa Monica Brass Hood Plays with Different Kitchen Styles

Because the design centers on flowing curved profile with balanced proportions, the Santa Monica can take on a different mood depending on the materials around it. Pair it with warmer finishes and more decorative details for a traditional direction, or simplify the accents for a cleaner transitional look.

If the rest of the kitchen already has plenty going on, keep the Santa Monica restrained. If the cooking wall needs a focal point, use the finish and accents to give it more presence.

Build Your Brass Range Hood with bloom, For a Better-Fit Kitchen

Your Santa Monica Brass Range Hood starts with the room you already have and the look you want to create. Work directly with bloom range hoods’ master designer to sort through dimensions, finish, accents and ventilation without bouncing between layers of salespeople.

A custom kitchen deserves more than a close-enough hood. Build the Santa Monica Brass Range Hood around the space and give the cooking wall a focal point with a reason to be there.

Ventilation Systems

Find Your Perfect Exhaust System

We believe the ventilation system behind your beautiful hood should work as hard as it looks good. Here's how to find your perfect match:

Motor Fan In-Hood Exhaust System

The culinary equivalent of having everything you need right at your fingertips.

  • Motor(s) nestled inside your copper hood
  • Complete with lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • 304-grade stainless steel liner (the gold standard of kitchen durability)
  • Powered by 120 volts 60hz, like a well-oiled kitchen machine
  • Features reusable stainless steel baffle filters (we believe in sustainability almost as much as style)
  • Motor(s) run at approximately 7 sones - the soundtrack to your cooking adventure

Motor Fan In-Attic Exhaust System

For when you want all the power without stealing the spotlight. This method is preferred but requires accessible attic space directly above the kitchen.

  • Motor tucked discreetly in your attic, like a kitchen ninja
  • Still equipped with all the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Reusable stainless steel filters for easy maintenance
  • Virtually silent operation in your kitchen - quieter than a Wisconsin lake at dawn
  • Perfect for open-concept kitchens where conversation flows as freely as your creativity

Liner Only (No Motor)

For the kitchen maestros who march to their own beat.

  • Requires purchasing a separate External Blower System
  • Motor(s) positioned outside your structure
  • Includes the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Equipped with reusable stainless steel filters
  • Ideal for unique installations or specific ventilation requirements

Recirculating Systems

When your kitchen's layout plays hard to get with outside venting options.

  • Perfect solution when venting to the outside isn't in the cards
  • Equipped with specialized charcoal filters to trap cooking odors and grease
  • Limited to 390 CFM and up to 48" in width (even heroes have their boundaries)
  • Features clever louvers built into the hood for air to escape back into your kitchen
  • Ideal for apartments, condos, or older homes where structural limitations make external venting challenging
  • All the style with a practical twist for challenging spaces

How To Measure Infograph

Your Copper Hood

How To Measure

Watch our video tutorial for help selecting the proper dimensions for your copper hood. You'll need to measure the width of your cooktop and the height of your ceiling from the kitchen floor. Wall-mounted hoods can be as wide as your cooktop; however, island mounted hoods should be at least 6 inches wider than the cooktop. The bottom of the hood should be between 30-36" above your cooktop. Once the dimensions of the hood are determined, you can then select a ventilation system. We offer in-hood and in-attic ventilation systems. Once you select a ventilation system that will work for your kitchen space, you can then choose the color and texture of the copper hood. Don't forget to personalize your hood with custom straps, rivets and apron patterns.
