Price Breakdown

How Much Does a Custom Range Hood Cost?

Let's make this simple.

Our custom range hoods start at $4,295, and two things drive the price from there: size and ventilation. That's it. No hidden fees. No 'customization tax.' No surprises halfway through the process.

At bloom range hoods, pricing stays intentionally straightforward. You're paying for structure and performance—not for every design decision you make along the way. Finishes, textures, straps, rivets, moldings, apron details—all included.

Every project starts with a free design consultation. Once your order is place, you'll get complimentary custom CAD drawings to see exactly what you're getting before fabrication begins. The way it should be.

What Actually Affects the Price

Here's the truth

Most custom hood pricing gets complicated fast. Every detail adds a line item. Every choice bumps the cost. We don't work that way.

Two Factors That Determine Your Price

That's what moves the needle. Everything else? Included.

Dimensions

Width, height, and depth. A compact hood for a 30" range with standard ceilings costs less than a statement piece for a 48" cooktop in a two-story great room. The bigger the footprint, the more material and craftsmanship involved.

Ventilation

The power and configuration of your exhaust system. Higher CFM, larger duct sizes, and ductless conversions affect the final number. If you're using your own ventilation, this piece doesn't apply.

The 'Unlimited Customization' List ($0 Upcharge)

This is where most companies start adding fees. We go the other direction. At bloom, the design is part of the build—not an add-on. Customize freely without watching the price climb.

Model/Shape

Bell, box, pyramid, curved—even your own custom shape. All priced the same.

Textures

Heavy hammering, light hammering, or smooth.

Finishes/Colors

Copper, brass, stainless steel, powder coat. Same price.

Apron Designs

Scrollwork, embossed patterns, custom imagery.

Straps, Rivets & Moldings

Any amount of decorative hardware or metal bands.

Mixed Metals

Copper hood with stainless trim? Brass accents on steel? Free.

One optional upgrade: Pot Rails add $150.

Understanding Ventilation

Ventilation determines how well your hood performs when things heat up. Airflow, duct size, and system configuration all factor in.

We partner with Trade-Wind for our internal blower systems—standard performance, high performance, and ductless options are all available. Pricing varies based on your hood's dimensions and setup, so the best way to see what applies is to visit our Ducted Ventilation page or use the Hood Builder.

If you're sourcing your own ventilation, here's the short list: our custom hoods are built to work with only the compatible ventilation systems below.
• Wolf PL series
• Zephyr Monsoon series
• Ventahood
• Select Imperial series
• Thermador in select situations
• Best HB3 and HB5 in select situations
