Your range hood is crafted to look stunning for generations—and keeping it that way is simpler than you'd think. A little routine care goes a long way. Here's how to keep your hood (and sink, if you have one) looking its best.

Regular Cleaning:

  • Microfiber type cloth with warm water.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasives, and steel wool. Nothing acidic.

  • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.


Grease & Grime: For tougher grime, a mild detergent like dawn dish soap can be added to the damp microfiber cloth.


Patina: Copper and Brass hoods have a protective clear coating to prevent any further patina from developing. Follow the cleaning recommendations above.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Wash with warm water and mild dish soap after each use.

  • Dry thoroughly to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.

Avoiding Damage:

  • Use a rubber mat or cutting board to protect the sink surface from scratches.

  • Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on the copper.

Patina:

  • Copper sinks develop a patina over time. This is a natural process which enhances the sink's beauty.

  • If you prefer a brighter finish, you can use a copper cleaner to restore the shine.

  • Applying Renaissance wax regularly can help slow the patina process and protect your sink basin.

By following these care tips, you will enjoy the beauty of your bloom range hood and sink for years to come.

Important Note

Always test any cleaning product in a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface. If you have a lacquered copper finish, avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the lacquer.

Consider using a copper polish to restore the shine to your copper sink basin. Regularly inspecting your copper items for any signs of damage will help you address issues promptly.

Measure twice, order once: Before you finalize those numbers, double-check if your dream hood has any special features that might affect your measurements. Hoods with arched aprons or decorative moldings can add extra height or width—take a look at the hood's product details to make the necessary adjustments.
