Why Does the New York Copper Range Hood Work Well in a Made-to-Order Kitchen?

The New York Copper Range Hood starts with Square trim along the crown and apron for a crisp urban profile, then gives you control over the dimensions, finish, accents and ventilation for your space. You do not have to make the finish decision from a screen. Bloom offers free sample tiles, one-on-one help from a master designer, secure ordering through a U.S.-based company and free shipping within the 48 continental U.S. states.

The New York Copper Range Hood: Square Trim Along the Crown and Apron for a Crisp Urban Profile with a Custom Fit

The New York Copper Range Hood uses Square trim along the crown and apron for a crisp urban profile to create a clear focal point without forcing the rest of the room to follow a preset formula. Built from Pure 16-gauge copper construction, this copper kitchen hood can be adjusted around the range, cabinetry and ceiling height, then finished to suit the surrounding palette.

  • Model-Specific Shape: The New York gets a look separate from Bloom’s other hood profiles through Square trim along the crown and apron for a crisp urban profile.
  • Made-to-Order Proportions: Choose width, depth and height around the range, cabinetry and ceiling conditions in your kitchen.
  • Material You Can Build Around: Pure 16-gauge copper gives the hood a substantial body and naturally warm metal presence.
  • Ventilation Choices: Select an exhaust setup based on your range, room layout and cooking habits.
  • Lifetime Structural Guarantee: Bloom backs the hood structure with lifetime coverage.

Size Your Copper Range Hood Around the Way You Cook — With Style to Spare

A custom hood should look intentional from every angle. Bloom sizes the New York around the range, cabinetry and ceiling conditions, then matches the ventilation options to your cooking setup. Precision TIG-welded construction keeps the body strong and the seams clean without adding visual clutter.

  • Precise Metalwork: TIG-welded seams keep the structure strong and the profile clean.
  • Made-to-Order Size: Choose dimensions for your range, cabinetry and ceiling height.
  • Flexible Placement: Use the mounting option best suited to the kitchen layout.
  • Exhaust Options: Build ventilation into the hood based on cooking needs.
  • Simpler Upkeep: Protective coating options can make routine cleaning easier.

Finish Your Copper Range Hood Your Way

The same New York can read completely differently depending on the finish. A softer surface treatment keeps the profile restrained, while deeper tones or stronger texture bring more attention to the shape. Use the accent selections to tie the hood back to cabinetry, lighting and fixtures.

Small accent decisions matter on a focal point like the New York. A little contrast can sharpen the shape, while a more unified finish keeps the look calmer.

How the New York Copper Hood Plays with Different Kitchen Styles

Kitchen style often comes down to how the details are handled. On the New York, Square trim along the crown and apron for a crisp urban profile provides the base. Warmer finishes can lean classic, while simple accents and a tighter palette can move the same profile in a more modern direction.

Custom sizing helps the New York find the right balance. Good proportions connect the hood to the cabinetry and range instead of leaving it to read like an oversized appliance in the middle of the design.

Custom Hood Design, Guided by a Master Designer — With Style to Spare

Start with the New York profile, then make the rest personal. Bloom’s master designer works directly with you to dial in dimensions, material details, finish and ventilation for the room.

The goal for the New York Copper Range Hood is simple: the right fit, the right amount of personality and ventilation chosen for how you actually cook.

Ventilation Systems

Find Your Perfect Exhaust System

We believe the ventilation system behind your beautiful hood should work as hard as it looks good. Here's how to find your perfect match:

Motor Fan In-Hood Exhaust System

The culinary equivalent of having everything you need right at your fingertips.

  • Motor(s) nestled inside your copper hood
  • Complete with lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • 304-grade stainless steel liner (the gold standard of kitchen durability)
  • Powered by 120 volts 60hz, like a well-oiled kitchen machine
  • Features reusable stainless steel baffle filters (we believe in sustainability almost as much as style)
  • Motor(s) run at approximately 7 sones - the soundtrack to your cooking adventure

Motor Fan In-Attic Exhaust System

For when you want all the power without stealing the spotlight. This method is preferred but requires accessible attic space directly above the kitchen.

  • Motor tucked discreetly in your attic, like a kitchen ninja
  • Still equipped with all the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Reusable stainless steel filters for easy maintenance
  • Virtually silent operation in your kitchen - quieter than a Wisconsin lake at dawn
  • Perfect for open-concept kitchens where conversation flows as freely as your creativity

Liner Only (No Motor)

For the kitchen maestros who march to their own beat.

  • Requires purchasing a separate External Blower System
  • Motor(s) positioned outside your structure
  • Includes the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Equipped with reusable stainless steel filters
  • Ideal for unique installations or specific ventilation requirements

Recirculating Systems

When your kitchen's layout plays hard to get with outside venting options.

  • Perfect solution when venting to the outside isn't in the cards
  • Equipped with specialized charcoal filters to trap cooking odors and grease
  • Limited to 390 CFM and up to 48" in width (even heroes have their boundaries)
  • Features clever louvers built into the hood for air to escape back into your kitchen
  • Ideal for apartments, condos, or older homes where structural limitations make external venting challenging
  • All the style with a practical twist for challenging spaces

How To Measure Infograph

Your Copper Hood

How To Measure

Watch our video tutorial for help selecting the proper dimensions for your copper hood. You'll need to measure the width of your cooktop and the height of your ceiling from the kitchen floor. Wall-mounted hoods can be as wide as your cooktop; however, island mounted hoods should be at least 6 inches wider than the cooktop. The bottom of the hood should be between 30-36" above your cooktop. Once the dimensions of the hood are determined, you can then select a ventilation system. We offer in-hood and in-attic ventilation systems. Once you select a ventilation system that will work for your kitchen space, you can then choose the color and texture of the copper hood. Don't forget to personalize your hood with custom straps, rivets and apron patterns.
