  • Distinctive Detroit Design: Strong structured body with a rectangular apron sets the tone for the finished hood.
  • Custom Width, Depth and Height: Build the proportions around your kitchen rather than adjusting the kitchen around a stock hood.
  • Heavy-Gauge Construction: 16-gauge 304 stainless steel gives the hood a durable body with a crisp, clean metal look.
  • Configurable Exhaust System: Choose ventilation with your range size, cooking style and room layout in mind.
  • Lifetime Structural Guarantee: Structural coverage stays with the hood for life.

Size Your Stainless Steel Range Hood Around the Way You Cook, With Style to Spare

Good looks only go so far above a busy range. The Detroit combines custom sizing with ventilation choices for everyday cooking, all built around precise TIG-welded construction. The result is a hood with the presence you want and the practical function the space needs.

  • Precision TIG-Welded Construction: Controlled welds create a clean, durable hood body.
  • Custom Dimensions: Set the width, depth and height around your kitchen plan.
  • Mounting Options: Choose a mounting approach compatible with the room and cabinetry.
  • Ventilation Selection: Match the exhaust system to the range and how you cook.
  • Finish Protection: Available protective finishes help simplify routine care.

Custom Range Hood Colors, Textures and Details to Play With — With Style to Spare

Think of the finish as part of the architecture, not an afterthought. The Detroit can lean warm, crisp, understated or bold depending on the selected stainless steel finish and texture options. Coordinate the accents or break them apart for more contrast.

Small accent decisions matter on a focal point like the Detroit. A little contrast can sharpen the shape, while a more unified finish keeps the look calmer.

Where the Detroit Stainless Steel Hood Feels Right at Home

Kitchen style often comes down to how the details are handled. On the Detroit, strong structured body with a rectangular apron provides the base. Warmer finishes can lean classic, while simple accents and a tighter palette can move the same profile in a more modern direction.

Custom dimensions give the Detroit another design lever. Taller, wider or more compact proportions can change the visual weight before the finish even enters the conversation.

Design Your Custom Range Hood One-On-One with bloom — For Everyday Cooking

Bring Bloom your kitchen, your measurements and the direction you have in mind. The master designer will help shape the Detroit Stainless Steel Range Hood around the space, with direct guidance on size, finish, accents and ventilation.

From the big proportions down to the smaller accent choices, each Detroit decision gives the finished hood a clearer connection to your kitchen.

Ventilation Systems

Find Your Perfect Exhaust System

We believe the ventilation system behind your beautiful hood should work as hard as it looks good. Here's how to find your perfect match:

Motor Fan In-Hood Exhaust System

The culinary equivalent of having everything you need right at your fingertips.

  • Motor(s) nestled inside your copper hood
  • Complete with lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • 304-grade stainless steel liner (the gold standard of kitchen durability)
  • Powered by 120 volts 60hz, like a well-oiled kitchen machine
  • Features reusable stainless steel baffle filters (we believe in sustainability almost as much as style)
  • Motor(s) run at approximately 7 sones - the soundtrack to your cooking adventure

Motor Fan In-Attic Exhaust System

For when you want all the power without stealing the spotlight. This method is preferred but requires accessible attic space directly above the kitchen.

  • Motor tucked discreetly in your attic, like a kitchen ninja
  • Still equipped with all the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Reusable stainless steel filters for easy maintenance
  • Virtually silent operation in your kitchen - quieter than a Wisconsin lake at dawn
  • Perfect for open-concept kitchens where conversation flows as freely as your creativity

Liner Only (No Motor)

For the kitchen maestros who march to their own beat.

  • Requires purchasing a separate External Blower System
  • Motor(s) positioned outside your structure
  • Includes the essentials: lights, switches, and stainless steel baffle filters
  • Premium 304 grade stainless steel liner at 120 volts 60hz
  • Equipped with reusable stainless steel filters

How To Measure Infograph

Your Copper Hood

How To Measure

Watch our video tutorial for help selecting the proper dimensions for your copper hood. You'll need to measure the width of your cooktop and the height of your ceiling from the kitchen floor. Wall-mounted hoods can be as wide as your cooktop; however, island mounted hoods should be at least 6 inches wider than the cooktop. The bottom of the hood should be between 30-36" above your cooktop. Once the dimensions of the hood are determined, you can then select a ventilation system. We offer in-hood and in-attic ventilation systems. Once you select a ventilation system that will work for your kitchen space, you can then choose the color and texture of the copper hood. Don't forget to personalize your hood with custom straps, rivets and apron patterns.
